Know Your High School Musical Dolls – Which Dolls, And Why?
Wondering what High School Musical dolls to get for your tween? This article will give you an overview of the main characters in the film, and which dolls are the must-haves for any High School Musical fan!
Troy and Gabriella
Troy and Gabriella are the first High School Musical dolls to buy for a young girl just starting her collection. They are the main characters in all three films, and you just can’t play out your favorite scenes without them!
Troy is the captain of the East High basketball team, the Wildcats. Gabriella is his unlikely love interest…a math-whiz who has just transferred in from another school. Together, they overcome peer pressure from their respective cliques and fulfill their dream of starring in the lead roles of the school musical. In the sequels, Troy and Gabriella face a summer that threatens to tear them apart, and then the prospect of heading off to different schools after graduation. These two star-crossed lovers are the most important dolls to get.
Sharpay and Ryan
Sharpay and Ryan are brother and sister, and the antagonists in the films. Sharpay wants to be a star, and she isn’t about to let brainy Gabriella get in her way and steal the lead role! In the second film, Sharpay tries to break Troy and Gabriella up. Ryan wants to be a star too, and with his sister the two of them cook up schemes to rise to the top…but they always backfire. These two dolls would be the second-most important dolls to get, and with these four your tween could act out many scenes from the movies.
Taylor and Chad
Taylor is Gabriella’s best friend, and Chad is Troy’s best friend. Together, they help their friends get through all of the trials and tribulations of high school life. At first, each tries to keep their friends from auditioning for the musical, but in the end they help them. After a rocky love/hate relationship, she and Chad become a couple.
Kelsi
Kelsi is the composer and playwright for the high school musicals, and becomes Ryan’s girlfriend (or at least, his prom date) in the third movie. Her and Ryan go off to Julliard together.
You can get all High School Musical dolls in different outfits from each of the movies, and many of them come in sets so you can buy them together. If your tween has the dolls from the first movie, she would probably like dolls that are specifically from the second or third movie. There are also many accessories that go along with the dolls, like Sharpay’s pink convertible, Gabriella’s locker, and more. The dolls sing a song from the movie, and there are also versions of the dolls that come with a microphone, so fans can sing along!
Now that you know which High School Musical dolls are who, you will know which ones your tween needs for her collection!
